Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to your information when you order from EBS Test Kitchen online. EBS Test Kitchen is responsible for your order; Evident Business Solutions LLC (“EBS”) runs this ordering site for them. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

• What you give us: your name, mobile number, email (optional), delivery address, your order, notes, and a tip if you add one.
• Payment: card payments are handled by the restaurant's payment processor (Merchant360 by Electronic Payments). Your full card number never reaches our servers. We keep the card brand, last four digits and the processor's reference, and, if you choose to save a card, a token the processor gives us.
• Automatically: the IP address and browser your order came from, and the time. We keep these to prevent fraud and to answer payment disputes.
• At pickup or delivery: if the restaurant asks you to sign for a card order, your signature and whether ID was checked.
• If you create an account: your phone number (verified by a texted code), saved addresses and order history.
• Rewards: if EBS Test Kitchen runs a rewards program, the points earned on your phone number.

How we use it

• To make and hand over your order, and to text you its status.
• To email a receipt if you gave an email.
• To run rewards, saved info and one-tap reorder, if you use them.
• To prevent fraud and respond to chargebacks.
• To send marketing texts, only if you checked the box to receive them. Reply STOP to any text to stop. Consent is never required to order.

Who sees it

EBS Test Kitchen sees your orders and contact details. EBS uses service providers to run the site: hosting and database (Netlify, Supabase), texts (Twilio), email (Mailgun) and payments (Merchant360). They may use your information only to provide that service. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.

If you have an EBS Online account, it works at every restaurant that uses EBS Online, but each restaurant only sees its own orders and its own marketing opt-ins.

Cookies and storage

We use only what the site needs to work: your cart and pickup time are kept in your browser, and a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in if you have an account. No ad cookies. We don't respond to “Do Not Track” signals differently because we don't track you across sites.

How long we keep it

Order records are business records: EBS Test Kitchen keeps them as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally up to seven years). Signatures and pickup records are kept for at least 18 months, the window for card disputes. Sign-in codes expire in minutes. Account data is kept until you delete the account.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask to know what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (some order records must be kept by law). You can delete your EBS Online account yourself from the account page. To make a request, email privacy@ebs.onl or call (209) 600-3453. We'll verify the request with your phone number and won't treat you differently for making it.

Children

This site is for ordering food and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

Connections are encrypted, card data stays with the processor, and gift card numbers are stored encrypted. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
